Background and History
Radishes originated in China. In ancient times, the radish spread to Middle Asia where many different forms were developed and soon after, the radish spread to the Mediterranean.
Radishes were under cultivation in Mexico in 1500 and in Haiti in 1565.

Storage
Remove the greens off the tops, wash and dry the radish roots, and put them in a Ziploc bag with a slightly damp paper towel and store in the refrigerator. This should keep them fresh for several weeks.
